Looking for a quick lunch idea for the kids, or maybe even yourself? Whip up a hassle-free and kid-approved meal with this easy pizza using tortilla shells!

These pizzas take less than 10 minutes start to finish and can be made with clean food options. When the kids are hungry and i’m on a time crunch, this is one of my go-to options!

This simple recipe calls for a handful of ingredients – tortilla shells, pizza sauce, pepperoni, and gooey cheese – creating a delicious pizza that’s ready in no time. Perfect for a speedy dinner or a fun cooking activity with the little ones. Just assemble, pop it under the broiler in the oven, and enjoy a cheesy delight that’ll satisfy those pizza cravings in a flash!

Ingredients:

Tortilla Shells
Any shells will work, but to keep it Gluten Free, Siete Almond four tortillas are my favorite. These shells have great, clean ingredients and also work for my daughter that cannot have rice or gluten.

Pizza Sauce
Part of making this a quick and easy meal is having a pre-made, ready to use pizza sauce. Whole Foods has a great option that is organic, contains clean ingredients and isn’t too pricey.

Pepperoni
I recently stumbled upon Garrett Valley pepperoni at our local co-op store and it is a game changer when it comes to flavor.

Cheese
For cheese I use whatever I have on-hand, mostly I will do a mix of Cheddar and Mozzarella.

FAQ

Can I use another type of tortilla?
Yes! You can substitute any type of tortilla based on your preferences. I have made these with regular flour tortillas along with gluten free.

How do I prevent the tortilla from getting too soggy?

Since it is not a thick pizza crust it won’t be “crispy” like a traditional thin crust pizza since it is just being warmed under the broiler. To keep it from getting too soggy be sure to not use too much pizza sauce, a thin layer is all you need.

Do I need to preheat the oven?
No need to preheat the oven! The beauty of this recipe is that all you need to do is pop it under the broiler for a few minutes and it is ready to serve!

When you start looking at what is in our food it just doesn’t make sense. Most homemade things cost less, taste better and are much healthier for you. For our grandparents generation and before making everything at home was the norm. We have become so disconnected from our food and how it’s made. Now it’s about convenience and quality ingredients take the back seat. I love seeing so many people being drawn back to making things from scratch.
Get your herbs and greens from the garden preserve Get your herbs and greens from the garden preserved and ready to use year round. Whether you just have a dehydrator or a freeze drier, both work perfectly to preserve your harvest.

Past years I have only dehydrated our herbs and they still come out amazing, full of flavor and color compared to store bought. This year we have a freeze drier so we are doing all of our greens in there to better preserve the flavor and nutrients.
